February 22, 2019: 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. Free Rebuild Green Expo - Santa Rosa Veterans Building, 1351 Maple Avenue, Santa Rosa. Get answers on how to build more sustainably and with an eye towards resilience at the free Rebuild Green Expo on February 22 in Santa Rosa.
The Expo is a showcase for all aspects of how to build a healthy, low-carbon home. There’s something for everyone, from homeowners who are figuring out just what is green building, to building professionals looking to learn how to do it right. The Expo is designed to bust myths left and right, showcasing affordability and practical can-do tips for anybody looking to create a more sustainable future. In addition to the Expo floor, experts will be presenting education sessions that homeowners and building professional alike will find useful.
Homeowners and builders alike can get answers to design and construction questions from experienced architects, builders, landscape designers, and more. Bring your house plans to the Hackathon for one-to-one advice.

Virtual Film Screening and Panel Discussion: Asthma Alley
Please join American Lung Association, Allergy & Asthma Network, Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, and GroundTruth Films for a virtual film screening of “Asthma Alley,” a short documentary that follows a young teen with asthma and her classmates in the South Bronx, a neighborhood known for extraordinarily high rates of asthma.
Following the film will be a panel discussion geared toward patients with asthma. Hear from the filmmaker and additional expert health voices about the intersection of air pollution, asthma, health inequities, and climate change. The discussion will also identify ways for patients to protect themselves, and ways that everyone can help protect healthy air for all.

Come join the Sonoma County Medical Association's Women in Medicine hosted by Dr. Karen Leung at her home on McDonald Avenue in the historic McDonald Mansion District in Santa Rosa. Dr. Leung and Eki Abrams, MD will be sharing their beautiful musical and vocal talents with us while we enjoy bubbles, wine and appetizers. Eki will be celebrating the recent release of her second album which will be available for purchase if you are so inclined. Music will begin at 5:30 p.m. This event is open to ALL women in the field of medicine including physicians, nurses, practice managers, pharmacists, etc.!
